48 hours between the sea and the old town
Gallipoli is one of the best-loved destinations in Salento: an old town on an island linked to the mainland by a bridge, and miles of sandy beaches on the Ionian coast.
Here is how we enjoy it over a weekend, at a relaxed pace and with a few tips you only discover by asking at reception.
The plan
Saturday morning: the old town
The Angevin castle, the cathedral of Sant'Agata and the white alleys opening onto the sea.Saturday afternoon: Baia Verde
Fine sand and shallow water, perfect for families with children too.Sunday morning: Punta della Suina
Coves between the pine forest and the crystal-clear sea: arrive early to find a spot.Sunday evening: sunset over the harbour
A walk along the walls at sunset and a seafood dinner.

And to finish, an aperitif on the terrace
Back from the beach, our terrace among the palm trees is waiting for you: a cocktail, a few snacks and stories of the day before heading out for dinner.
